Cochlear Implant Simulation and Hearing Loss Simulator (TigerCIS) Updates:
Latest Version: 1.05.02 (1.5 MB)

This update includes the following program modifications:
Version 1.05.02 Update (July 1, 2008):
- Add "option" button to incoporate some potential variables in the processor while simplying the main interface
- Add "Pitch" change functin in the temp change function..
Version 1.05.01 Update (June 25, 2008):
- Redesign to simplify the interface and make the program easy to use.
Version 1.04.08 Update (Nov. 13, 2007):
- Add animated GIF in the bottom of the program to link to the website.
Version 1.04.07 Update (Nov. 3, 2007):
- Redesign the batch processing so simplify the main window. Also re-organize the button layouts.
Version 1.04.06 Update (Nov. 1, 2007):
- Allow the progam to directly download Typical Sounds from web site for demonstration.
Version 1.04.05 Update (Oct. 31, 2007):
- Move time stretching function to the general processing. The new version can combine noise, time stretching and noiseband processsing together for more flexible simulations.
- Change the icon of the program.
Version 1.04.04 Update:
- Modify a few buttons in the dialog.
Fix one bug in bilateral simulation and add a few bilateral processors in the predefined processors.
Version 1.04.03 Update:
- Allow noiseband and sinewave vocoders based on FFT approach instead of traditional filterbank methods. This allows very deep and very shallow slopes for filtering. Also it is much faster for very large number of spectral channels.
Version 1.04.02 Update:
- the program allows real time noise-band or sinewave vocoders.
Version 1.04.01 Update:
- the program will be updated periodically with new digital signal processing functions.
- time stretching and compression is available in this update.
Version 1.03.05 Update:
- add automatic version detector.
Version 1.03.04 Update:
- add hearing loss simulator. This processing scheme will allow the user to mimic different hearing loss based on the hearing threshold.
Version 1.03.03 Update:
- Fix one bug in n-m speech processor.
Version 1.03.02 Update:
- Add progress indicator during processing.
Version 1.03.01 Update:
- Allow Bilateral Implant Simulation (with independent two implants).
Version 1.02.04 Update:
- Folder memory function is added.
Version 1.02.03 Update:
Version 1.02.02 Update:
Version 1.02.01 Update:
- Add noisy signal generation module to the program.
Version 1.01.09 Update:
- Change "sinewave speech" to "sinewave vocoded speech" based on Dr. Jeremy L. Loebach's suggestion.
Version 1.01.08 Update:
- New background and button design for better visualization.
Version 1.01.07 Update:
- Allow to m-n speech processor
- Allow to multiple sinewaves in sinewave vocoder
Version 1.01.06 Update:
- Allow to process all wav files in one specified directory and save to one designated directory.
- Allow to save the parameter for the current setting and load later.
Version 1.01.05 Update:
- Re-design the interface again for better and smaller window.
- Add predefined processor selection for quick and easy manipulation.
- Allow reverse speech setting in the new program.
Version 1.01.04 Update:
- add the filtering only option so the program can simulate the hearing loss.
- fix the minor problem with focus switching when editing the parameters.
- Re-organize the layout of the program.
Version 1.01.03 Update:
- interface has been totally redsigned to better visualization.
Version 1.01.02 Update:
- added real-time recording function to allow the user to record their own voice and process these sounds through cochclear implant simulation.
- added update check button to allow the user to obtain the latest version.
Version 1.01.01 Release:
- Initial release of cochlear implant simulation program;
- noiseband and sinewave speech processors
- adjustable parameters: number of channels, frequency and slope of analysis and carrier filers, the frequency and slope of envelope detection, and carrier type (noise band and sinewave).
- the processed speech can be saved into file with PCM fornat.
